Oils are carefully selected and blended according to each person’s individual needs. Many oils also have antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal, and antiviral qualities. The massage techniques used help the oils to be absorbed into the blood stream where they are then transported to all of the bodies systems assisting the body’s natural ability to regulate and maintain itself on many levels.

Lymphatic drainage is a gentle massage that encourages drainage of the lymph from the tissues. The lymph system depends on intrinsic contractions of the smooth muscle cells in the walls of lymph vessels and the movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels to lymph nodes and then beyond the lymph nodes to the lymph ducts which return lymph to the cardiovascular system. Manual lymph drainage uses a specific amount of pressure (less than 9 ounces per square inch) and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow.

Reflexology is an ancient healing complementary therapy based on the principles that there are reflexes in the hands and feet that correspond to every part, organ and gland in the body. Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, or ears. Reflexologists believe that these areas and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them has a beneficial effect on the organs and person's general health.

Ear-candling is an alternative medicine practice and complementary therapy to improve general health and well-being by lighting one end of a hollow candle and placing the other end in the ear canal. This is an ancient and natural therapy handed down by many civilisations. It is believed that the ancient Greeks used ear candles, initially probably for cleansing, purifying and healing on a spiritual basis, but much later on a purely physical basis. However, the practice reached the modern world via the native American Hopi Indians of North Arizona.
